Hello, I'm Conrad Buehler. I ride a 2004 Road King and stripped my transmission shift lever a few years ago. I'll blame it on my heavy left boot, but whatever the real cause is, I didn't want to take my primary off or replace my transmission shaft to fix my problem, I knew there had to be a better way. They say "necessity is the mother of invention" and after a lot of carefully shifted miles and constant tightening on my old lever, I finally figured out how I could ride the ol' RK again with confidence. I designed a BETTER LEVER and had one made for what was an annual ride to see my Dad. The visits were overall about a twenty five hundred mile trip.
I found the right person just in time for my road trip. He is a mechanical engineer with a design and technology business and a super equipped and staffed machine shop. I showed him a sketch of my idea and the requirement that it grip my worn transmission shaft. It turned out he is a rider himself. He made me a lever that worked so well that I decided to have them produced out of stainless steel and offer them to all riders with a stripped shift lever. I figured I can't be the only one out here with a heavy boot.
So get out there, enjoy the ride, and thanks for your purchase.
